Next Generation Vector Vaccines
Etubics has developed "next generation" adenovirus vectors, called E2b-deleted (Ad5[E1-, E2b-]) vectors. The vectors create cell mediated immunity and can be used to treat or protect from many diseases. Etubics new adenoviral vectors solve significant problems observed with older technology such as pre-existing immunity to adenovirus. Etubics patented technology yields safer, more effective, and more versatile vectors that represent a promising platform for creating new vaccines against many diseases.
Etubics "next generation" vector vaccines platform:
Can be used to re-immunize or boost immunity. The additional genetic deletions in our vectors allow the delivery platform to be dispensed multiple times to the same vaccinee, overcoming the barrier preventing multiple immunizations.
Consists of human cell-based manufacturing allowing faster and more flexible response against diseases.
Has reduced production of capsid proteins, making them more efficient. Capsid proteins been proven to be partly responsible for the older generation adenoviral vector malfunction.
Offers a greater gene delivery capacity, making a more effective vaccine. Etubics vectors can included the entire genome of a disease, obviating the need to choose proteins (or antigens) and allowing the body to make the decision about which antigen it will mount immunity against, not the scientist
Carry the largest deletion currently available, making them more effective. The larger the deletion, the more fully incapacitated the resulting vector, making it safer and more effective.

Etubics viral vector platform (Ad5 [E1-,E2b-]) are created by removing a stretch of DNA from the virus, making it incapable of replicating in humans. To create the vaccine, the deleted vector is filled with DNA from a disease target. When injected, the new vaccine delivers target protein to "antigen presenting cells" resulting in a robust cell-mediated and antibody immune response directed against the target disease.
