Laboratory Research Technician
The laboratory technician will become a part of our research and development team. A successful candidate must have at minimum a college degree and 2 years work experience in immunologic research or vaccine development. Laboratory technicians will assist scientists and other technicians in the performance of laboratory and investigative procedures. Incumbents have responsibility for research experiments and data integrity, as assigned by management.
Scope of Work
- Perform laboratory research experiments by performing various investigative procedures and operate a variety of instruments and other scientific equipment. This include FLOW, ELISA, tissue culture, animal work including sample collection.
- Collect, record, organize and verify the accuracy of data; perform calculations, data interpretation and prepare charts, graphs and reports. May use software applications to assemble, evaluate and/or format data and test reports.
- Manage site inventory. Order laboratory supplies and equipment. Maintain the laboratories and perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science with 2-5 years experience or up to MS with two years of relevant experience in immunologic research or vaccine development.
- Experience working with immunologic techniques utilized in immunology and vaccine research, including protein expression, mammalian cell maintenance, FLOW, ELISA, and animal immunization and sample collection.
- Excellent skills in collecting and analyzing data, trouble-shooting, and accurately maintaining laboratory notebooks required.
- Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
